Sherry A. Severnak-Locascio, 57, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Sherry was born on April 16, 1961 in Wilkes Barre, Pa to her parents Jack and Beverly Severnak of West Wyoming, PA.

Sherry graduated with honors from Wyoming Area High School, Class of 1979. She graduated with a BS Degree in Chemistry from Bloomsburg University in 1983, and was later hired as a Chemist and Scientific Administrator by Anaquest Inc., Murray Hill, New Jersey. During her employment, she developed 5 patents in analgesics and anesthetics.

In 1989, she married her husband of 28 years, Carmen J. Locascio and moved to Easton, PA. She started a home-based business, Sherry's Graphical Expressions, and also became an Independent Sales Director and representative for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

She was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Roman Catholic Church, Easton, PA. Sherry was president of the HSA, for two years and volunteered for many events. She initiated the "Hawk Walk", a fundraising effort for St. Jane's Hawks HSA. She was a Girl Scout leader and a supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. She was a devoted mother of two children, John C. and Mary E. Locascio.

Sherry was a faithful Catholic and advocated "pay it forward ", which is a response to a person's kindness to oneself by being kind to someone else.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends

In addition to her husband, children, and parents, Sherry is survived by sisters, Susan DePasquale and husband Joe, Plains, PA, Sandra Kollar and husband Randall, Mountain Top, PA, Sharlene Koleno and husband Brian, Mechanicsburg, PA; sisters-in-law Annette Locascio, Pittston, PA , and Maria Reid and husband Bill, Virginia Beach, VA and nieces and nephews, Mia DePasquale, Joshua Kollar and Benjamin Koleno.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 29th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Palmer Twp., PA. An additional calling hour will be held Thursday, August 30th at 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue Palmer, PA. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Slovak Cemetery, Exeter, PA.
