Obituary

Name: Soccorso Sam Rizzolino, 76, of Conway, South Carolina, formerly of Palmer Twp., passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 at his residence. Born: Sam was born on July 19, 1933 in Castel dilucio Sicily Italy, a son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Lutri Rizzolino. Personal: Upon arriving in the United States, Sammy, while working factory jobs, started a lawn care business with one lawn mower and the family station wagon. This small business grew into what is today Palmer Nursery, Easton, Pa; retiring in 1995. Memberships: He was a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Conway, SC, a member of Moose in Palmer Twp., Wilson Boro Lions Club and Conway Lions Club. Survivors: Surviving are two sisters, Maria Rizzolino in Candini of Bologna, Italy and Dina Rizzolino in Fraggettia and her husband Luigi Fraggettia of Frankfurt, Germany; one brother, Salvatore Rizzolino and his wife, Enza of Castel Guelfo, Bologna, Italy. Mr. Rizzolino was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Antonio Nino Rizzolino. Surviving his marriage to the late Rosaria De Francesca are four sons, Joe and his wife Maria of Forks Township, PA, Pat and his wife Cindy of Nazareth, PA, Robert and his wife Therese of Palmer Township, PA, Tony Rizzolino and his wife Julie of Palmer Township, PA; three grandsons, Joey Rizzolino, Robbie Rizzolino and Nino Rizzolino; seven granddaughters, Karissa Rizzolino, Taylor Rizzolino, Victoria Rizzolino, Madison Rizzolino, Nicole Rizzolino, Macy Rizzolino, and Rose Rizzolino. Surviving his marriage to Shirley Smith Long Rizzolino are two step-sons, Steven Long, Kim Long; two step-daughters, Candy Cherry and Sherry Coleman; five step-grandsons, Christian Cherry, Mackenzie Long, Dylan Long, Ethan Long and Joshua Coleman; and two step-granddaughters, Brittany Cherry and Victoria Coleman. Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and also Monday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Palmer Twp. Interment will be at Easton Cemetery.
