She served in the British Air Force. Survivors: Sonia is survived by her caretaker and sister Pamala Ann DeFranco of Easton, PA; sisters Alison Griffen of Virginia, Vera McNair of Ireland, Mary Corning of Michigan; brothers John Lyons of Canada, Desmond Lyons of Ireland; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a son Robert Chester of Michigan. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Shady; sisters, Edie Kernan, Elizabeth Becker, Catherine Weaver and brothers Michael Lyons, Thomas Lyons, and Leslie Lyons. Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm in the funeral home. Interment will be held at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
