Name: Sophie S. Baba Speciale, 95 of Wilson Boro., passed away Tuesday August 30, 2016 in her home in the arms of her daughter Joyce.

Born: She was born on December 19, 1920 in Windber, PA a daughter of the late Joseph and Katharine Koscielniak Sopata

Personal: Sophie was preceded in death by her husband Vincent in 1969. She was employed as a manager in the childrens department for Hess Department Store and later for the BonTon Department Store for many years retiring in 2005.

Memberships: She was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp. Sophie was also a member of the Senior Circle. She was an avid Yankees, Phillies and Ohio State fan. She loved to play canasta and prayed the rosary daily for her family.

Survivors: Sophie is survived by her sons Vince Speciale and wife Linda of Scottsdale, AZ, Donald Speciale and wife Carol of Wilson Boro.; daughters Barbara Speciale of Wilson Boro., Joyce Speciale-Detweiler and husband Donald of Palmer Twp; grandchildren Jeffrey, Gregory, Christopher, Keri, Todd and great grandchildren Stella, Libby, Vanessa, Evan, Lucas and Ryker.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday morning from 9:00am until 10:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30am in the church; 4049 Hartley Ave. Palmer Twp. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
