Walter Bastinelli, Sr., 87, of Bethlehem, loving husband, father, grandfather and Nanu, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in his home.

Born : Walter was born in Martins Creek, PA, a son of the late Aleandro and Diadata (Pulastrella) Bastinelli.

Personal: Walter and his wife, the former Mary Azzalina, celebrated 67 years of marriage last August 4th. He was a dedicated manager and leader for A & H Sportswear Co., headquartered in Pen Argyl for 50 years before retiring in 2006. He was a 1st Class Seaman in the US Navy during World War II, serving in the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres.

Memberships: Walter was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and an affiliate of the Angelic Sisters of St. Paul.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his sons Walter Bastinelli Jr. and wife Laura of Nazareth, A. Richard Bastinelli and wife Cheryl of Lutherville, MD, David Bastinelli and wife Verna of Bethlehem; daughters Linda Smartschan and husband Glenn of Pittsburgh, Rosemary Rinker and husband Thomas of Bethlehem Twp.; a sister Clara Osmundson of Cinnaminson, NJ; grandchildren Brian, Bethany, Erin, Lauren, Adrienne, Ashley, Alyson, Aaron, Alexandra, Nicole, Shannyn; and great-grandchildren Creelyn, Kyler, Natalie, Luca, and Olivia. He is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Vangeli, Rachael Ripley, Modesta Sodas; brothers Alfred, Fiore and Valentino Bastinelli.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also Monday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
