Name: John Alan Calvert, Sr., 66, of Easton, passed away on May 20th in his home in the loving arms of his wife. Born: John was born in Peckville, PA, a son of Dorothy Calvert of Carbondale, PA, and the late Albert Calvert. Personal: John was a co-proprietor of Lutzis Courtyard Cafe in Easton. He was a graduate of Lakeland High school, class of 1963. He and his wife Gloria celebrated 43 wonderful years of marriage last October. John was of the Methodist Faith. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son, and best friend to all his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Every day of his life was lived to the fullest for his wife and children. He will be deeply missed by all. Survivors: In addition to his wife, John is survived by his son John Alan Calvert, Jr. of Forks Twp.; daughter Melissa Hine and her husband Greg of Forks Twp.; sister Betty Lou Clavert-Waxmonsky of Archbald, PA; brother Albert Calvert of The Villages, FL; loving grandchildren Lauren Amanda Hine and Gregory Jonathon Hine; sister-in-law Sonja Pegula and her husband Robert Pegula of Jessup, PA; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a daughter Marcy Lynn Calvert who passed away in infancy. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
