Name: Thomas Marlyn Mayrosh, Sr. 89 of Forks Twp. passed away Saturday April 9, 2011 in Manor Care, Palmer Township with his daughter by his side. Born: He was born on September 27, 1921 in Nazareth, he was a son of the late John J. and Sadie Catherine Hartley Mayrosh Jr. Personal: Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, the former Pearl Helen Barna, with whom he had celebrated 48 years of marriage before her passing in May of 1996. He worked for the family business, Kubler Brewery in Easton, and later as a steel worker for Easton Steel and Franklin Steel, where he retired in 1985. He was a graduate of Wilson Area High School. Thomas served in the Coast Guard during World War II in the European Theater as a Seaman 1st Class from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1946. Mr. Mayrosh was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He was very passionate about watching his grandchildren participate in their sporting events. Memberships: He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Township, and a member of the International Association of Bridge Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers. Survivors: Thomas is survived by his son Thomas Marlyn Mayrosh Jr. and his wife Lori of Valparaiso, Indiana; his daughter Denise Casciole and husband Ronald of Forks Township; a sister Arlene Hammerstone of Palmer Township; and grandchildren, Christopher and Cameron Casciole, Celina and husband Allen Fox and Tyler Mayrosh; several nieces and nephews. A sister Bertha Gallagher and brothers Steven, John J., Donald, and James preceded Thomas in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9:00am until 11:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30am in the church, 4049 Hartley Ave. Palmer Twp. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
