Name: Richard J. Noonan, Sr., 73, of Easton, PA, passed away Thursday, January 27th in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a patient for five years. Born: Richard was born on December 21, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Thomas and Gertrude McNamee Noonan. Personal: Richard was Vice President of the former General Acceptance Corporation in Allentown until his retirement. He attended St. Thomas Moore High School, St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Overbrook, and St. Josephs University of Philadelphia. He and his wife, the former Yvonne Canone, celebrated 47 years of marriage on May 25, 2010. He was an avid opera and theatre fan, particularly enjoying operas at the Met and Broadway shows. He passionately enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Memberships: Richard was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his daughters Veronica Olszewski and her husband John of Wallingford, Pa, Josie Wilkinson and her husband Brent of Peabody, Massachusetts; seven grandchildren Katie, Kelsey, Jay, Aidan, Julia, Elizabeth, and Cecelia. He is preceded in death by his son Richard J. Noonan, Jr.; brothers Thomas Noonan and Robert Noonan. Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday from 9:45 am to 10:45 am in the chapel of St. Jane's Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
