Obituary

Frank A. Vangeli, Sr. of Wilson Borough passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 in Easton Hospital. Born: He was born on April 30, 1922 in Alpha, NJ. A son of the late Fortunato and Maria (Rappa) Vangeli. Personal: He was a self employed painter and paper hanger before retiring in 1991. Frank served in the US Army as a Sergeant in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Memberships: He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. He was also a member of the John Dolak Post of the American Legion in Alpha, NJ. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, the former Viola "Vi" Luparelli with whom he celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on November 24th. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Frank Vangeli, Jr. and his wife Betty Ann of West Hampton, NJ ; a sister Jennie Zingales of Easton; brothers, Joe of Phillipsburg, Anthony (Salve) of Bloomsbury, NJ and Michael of Bloomsbury, NJ. Frank is preceded in death by his sisters, Angelina Marina, Mary Ingegneri, and by his brothers Dominick Vangeli, Sr., and Vito. Services: Friends and relatives are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10am in St Anthony Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the church, 900 Washington Street, Easton, PA 18042
