Name: Stephen J. Szakovics, 81 of Easton, PA passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009 in his home.

Born: Steve was born on April 1st, 1928 in Alpha, NJ a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Kechura) Szakovics Sr.

Personal: Steve is preceded in death by his wife the former Helen Hess who passed away in 2006. He was employed as a millwright for 23 yrs at ConAgra Flour Mills in Martins Creek, PA. Prior to being a millwright he was employed as a dry cleaning manager at Easton Laundry for 23 yrs. He served as a sergeant in the US Army during WW II in the European theater.

Memberships: Steve was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Martins Creek and the VFW post 1290 of Easton.

Survivors: Steve is survived by his daughter Shelley Blasco and her husband James of Forks Twp., and a granddaughter Jessica. He is preceded in death a brother Andrew.

Services: Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6 pm 8 pm and Wednesday from noon until 1 pm in the Morello Funeral Home Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.
