Theresa “Terry” Perruso, 74, of Easton, PA, passed away on October 11 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 21, 1952, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dominick Perruso and Margaret (Diacont) Perruso. As the middle child of five in the family, Terry famously never had her own room. She quickly learned how to employ a bit of drama to get her way, was adept at flying under the radar to avoid trouble, and maintained a very close circle of friends to get the exact attention she sought.

Terry was a familiar and vibrant member of the Easton High School class of 1970. She fondly recalled attending high school courtyard dances with her classmates, riding the “Strip” with her girlfriends, and dancing to Gene Kaye’s record selections on Friday nights at the Firth Youth Center. Following graduation, she attended the Humboldt Institute Airline Training Center in Minneapolis, MN. Her adventures then took her to Washington, DC, where she served as an administrative support team member for the Naval Support Command (NAVSUP) at the Pentagon and later worked within the office division of the 1976 Bicentennial Commission. Terry eventually moved back home to Easton, where she worked as an Executive Secretary for the General Crushed Stone Company until her retirement.

As a single mother, Terry’s life was defined by an extraordinary, quiet resilience. She was both an anchor and an advocate to her children, Timothy and Dominique, displaying an inspiring blend of independence and strength. Terry’s family and friends were the frequent beneficiaries of her immense creative talents. She was a gifted crafter, dollmaker, knitter, seamstress, baker, costume designer, and recipe creator. She relished trips to the beach, took great delight in Victorian architecture and style, and always arrived at family gatherings with homemade meals, treats, and desserts created from a myriad of recipes she gathered over the years.

Terry is survived by her son, Timothy Perruso and his partner, Gianna Cogliano; her daughter, Dominique Michael; her sisters, Kathleen Young, and Trisha Buskirk and her husband, Ryan; and her brothers, Thomas Perruso and his wife, Jeanette, and Michael Perruso and his wife, Nancy and several nieces and nephews.
