Thomas L. Bubba, 87, of Dunnellon, FL, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019.

Tom was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Gaetano and Catherine (Torchia) Bubba.

Tom was married to the former Lisa Lotker. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Tom spent his adult life from 1958-1999 working with the less fortunate youth in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida. He was the first Administrative Director of St. Anthony's Youth Center from 1958-1962. During that time, he founded the Penn-Jersey League, the first Youth Midget Wrestling League in the US. He then worked as an educator in Mansfield Twp., NJ and subsequently founded Jackson Valley Sports Camp in NJ. Tom later became the first director of training for the Camp Kilmer Job Corps Center 1967-1969. In the 1970's, he was the principal of Easton Jr. High School. Before relocating to Florida in 1998, he worked at East Stroudsburg University as Director of the Student Union. In Florida, he served as Chaplain of the Dunnellon High School football team. Tom trained to be a lay ecclesial minister in the Diocese of Orlando and was commissioned by Bishop Winski in 2005. He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels for six years in Florida. With the Knights of Columbus, he was a double-star Grand Knight of Council 8510 in Florida, a 4 ^th Degree Knight and the District Deputy from 2007-2009. For the past 20 years until shortly before his death, Tom faithfully conducted a weekly Bible study in his home. He was an inspirational man who loved the Lord. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends and students who affectionately knew him as "Mr. B".

Tom is survived by his sisters Mary Trincheria of Phillipsburg, NJ, Lena Zamataro of Palmer Twp., PA, a brother Frank Bubba of Naples, FL, and his wife Lisa Bubba of Dunnellon, FL. He is preceded in death by his brothers Andrew and Joseph Bubba.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9 ^th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Williams Twp.
