Thomas A. Manos, 89, who lived with his son, Thomas W. Manos in Bethlehem, PA, passed away on January 18, 2022, in ProMedica Nursing Home. Thomas was born in Greenville, South Carolina, the son of the late Anthony and Emma Manos.
He worked as a foreman and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He graduated in 1955 from Greenville Senior High School and served in the United States Navy.
Thomas was the husband of the late Josephine (Zingales) Manos. He is survived by his sons, Dr. Antoninus Manos and his wife Doreen of West Chester, PA, and Thomas W. Manos and his wife, Evelyn, of Bethlehem, PA, and his daughter-in-law, Patricia Manos of Palmer Twp., PA. Thomas was predeceased by his son, Joseph A. Manos.
After the passing of the love of his life, Josephine, Thomas enjoyed each day playing cards with his grandchildren, watching sports with them, sharing his stories of when he was in the Navy, and enjoying his chips, Coke and ice cream as the highlight of his day. He was overwhelmed when he was blessed with a great grandson with whom he spent much time. He never lost faith in his Chicago Bears even though they were terrible the last few years.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life service for Thomas will be held later this year. Please check back for that update. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. (Palmer Twp.) Easton, PA 18045.
Donations may be made in memory of Thomas to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com.
