Thomas J. Umholtz, 60, of Easton, PA, loving husband, father and grandfather, wonderful son, brother, uncle and devoted friend passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Lukes Anderson Campus. Born: Thomas was born in Rahway, NJ a son of Claire Joyce (Mintel) Umholtz, and the late George Umholtz. Personal: Thomas was married to the former Doreen Chianta, with whom he celebrated 36 years of marriage last October 7. He was a Marketing Manager for AT&T Corp. for 36 years. Thomas served as a board member of the Jeff Dailey Memorial Foundation. He was an avid Giants fan and loved his time with his family in Ocean City, MD and Newport Beach, CA. He also enjoyed bike riding with his wife. Thomas was a connoisseur of music and cars. He coached softball, soccer, and basketball for St. Janes CYO. He loved his honey, Doreen, and his hemi. He was adored by his grandchildren who called him their Ummy. Memberships: Thomas was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, and the Commodities Club of Easton. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by a daughter Kerri Vitale and husband Joseph; his sons Ryan Umholtz and wife Aileen, Brad Umholtz and wife Lauren; sisters Maryann Witty and husband Dean, Cathy Driscoll and husband Kevin, Nancy Stukey and husband Jim; a brother James Umholtz and wife Kathleen; grandchildren Gavin, Rosalyn, Gia; many nieces and nephews, and his California Family. Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Interment will be private at a later date.
