Victor Finelli

Victor Finelli, age 89, passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Vic was born in Easton, PA a son of the late Michael and Rose Finelli.  He was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Lorraine.

Vic was a faithful member of St. Jane's Parish in Palmer Township.  He worked for Leone's Bakery for many years and later for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

Vic graduated in 1948 from Wilson High School.  He played football, baseball and basketball for Wilson.  He was the catcher for the Lester Pfeffer Legion Baseball team that went to the state championship at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh. Vic was happiest going to Eagles football games with his sons; he was a true Eagles fan.  He loved being Pop-Pop to all his grandchildren, joking with them and chasing them for a kiss with a face full of shaving cream.  Vic also enjoyed going to the Palmer Park Mall to walk and socialize with his friends and then off to McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts.  He loved joking with people and loved life.

Vic is survived by his children; Michael Finelli and his wife Leila of Stewartsville, NJ, Reverend Monsignor Victor Finelli of Allentown, Philip Finelli and his wife Jessica of Forks Township, Step-children; Beth Parascandolo, of Palmer Township, Jack Hauck and his wife Kathy of Nazareth, Jennifer Rush of West Easton; sisters, Lorraine Race of Palmer Township, Judy Rossini of Forks Township; grandchildren, Ariana, Danica, Dennis, Joshua, Christina, Caroline, Matthew, Nadia, Megan, Natalie, Abby, Madison;  great grandchildren, Olivia, Devin and Pieper.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Fellowship Community for their loving and compassionate care over the last two years.

Calling hours will be private however, relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM, in St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church, Palmer Township followed by interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.  Masks and social distancing must be observed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Saint Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church 4049 Hartley Ave Easton, PA 18045 or the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
