Obituary

Victoria (Holliway) Calantoni passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 in Easton, PA. She was born in Beverly Hills, CA on June 1, 1942. She spent a childhood "on location" in Spain, Australia and Hollywood with her mother and stepfather, a three-time Oscar nominee. Her birth father, Harrison, died unexpectedly when she was only 6 months old. However, this did not stop her from living life to the fullest: racing cars, attending UCLA, traveling the Middle East, and learning to speak and write Arabic all by her early twenties.

A surprise turn in the 1960's brought her to Bethlehem where she met her husband of 57 years, Sam Calantoni. They bonded immediately on their shared love of thoroughbred horses. Her eye for the animal, developed from years spent sketching and painting, made her known nationally as one of the best in the industry at purchasing and breeding racehorses. She did all this while helping Sam run and grow a construction company, never missing Sunday mass, earning blue ribbons as a rider herself, and raising three children.

Later in life she and Sam found new passions in spending time with their grandchildren, fine dining, travel and the California coast. Often admired for her beauty, quick wit, class and intelligence, Vicky made a lasting impression on everyone she would meet. She so loved her children, grandchildren, extended family, and manual transmissions.

She was predeceased by husband Sam in 2022 and is survived by daughters Holly and Tish, son Tino, his wife Lauren, grandchildren Cecelia, Sam and Will.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Ninth and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA followed by interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Victoria's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
