Obituary

Vincent S. Cimino, 87, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Easton Hospital.

Vincent was born in West Virginia, a son of the late Annibale and Chiarina Cimino.

Vincent was the loving husband of Marie R. Cimino, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage last November 22. He served in the United States Army as a combat engineer during the Korean War. After he returned home, he was employed in the shipping industry. During that time, Vincent worked for over 20 years for the Virginia Port Authority in both New York City and Winston Salem, NC.

While his children were growing, Vincent gave freely of his time coaching little league and serving as a leader of a Boy Scout troop. A lover of Italian food, he was a terrific cook and often produced homemade prosciutto and sausage. He had a passion for working with his hands and created many pieces of beautiful ceramics as well as jewelry, often from silver bars and coins; he had the magic touch and could fix anything. He also enjoyed oil painting and created many beautiful works of art during his lifetime. Vincent was a music lover, especially Italian Opera. In his youth, he had a gorgeous tenor voice. The house was always filled with music. Vincent was an active member of the Order Sons of Italy in America for many years, was proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed speaking Italian.

In addition to his wife Marie, Vincent is survived by his son Antonio and wife Jeanette and their daughter Radha; his son Paul-Andrew and wife Donna and their sons Andrew and Luke.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with an additional calling hour on Thursday from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton PA (Palmer Twp).
