IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vincent "Jim"
J. Roscioli, Jr.
June 16, 1928 – August 21, 2019
Vincent "Jim" J. Roscioli, Jr., of Easton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Vincent was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Vincenzo and Filomena (Mancini) Roscioli.
Vincent was married for 63 years to his loving wife, Virginia "Ginny" M. (Hodge) until her passing in 2013. He was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1945; and was a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War. Vincent worked for Roscioli Brothers as a Master Plumber until retiring in 2000. He was a volunteer for the Diocese of Allentown's Marriage Encounter and Marriage Preparation programs.
Vincent was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where he served as Eucharistic Minister, Lector and participated in the Parish Retreat Program.
Vincent is survived by his 16 children, Christine and Dino Piccini, Vincent Roscioli III, Diane and Steven Loomis, Patrice and the late Arthur Banghart, Michael and Tamara Roscioli, Lenore and Mark Walton, Elaine and Charles Crivellaro, Jerome Roscioli, Adele and Andrew Barnes, Odette and Stephen Hanni, Gregory and Lynn Roscioli, Francis and Michele Roscioli, Terese and Robert Perez, Kenneth Roscioli, Steven Roscioli, and Rachele Lemon; 46 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by sisters Giovanna, Assunta, Onorina; brothers Loreto, Pierino, and Enio.
Jim always put his family first, providing love, guidance and humor to all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren over the course of his many years as the Roscioli Family Patriarch. Nothing delighted him more than a gathering of the family members; the camaraderie far outweighed the noise and the commotion that was part and parcel of Sunday doughnuts or holiday celebrations. His skills as a craftsman were shared with everyone and his projects will be lasting mementos of his involvement with the whole family. He was a self-taught "master gardener" with a backyard garden that brought joy to him and the love of his life, Ginny.
