Name: Vincent R. Polidoro, 88 of Easton passed away Sunday December 9, 2012 in Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, PA. Born: He was born in 1924 a son of the late Ralph and Rose Polidoro. Personal: Vincent and his wife, the former Rita Murphy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 25th. Vincent was a self-employed contractor for many years. He later worked for Lafayette College in the maintenance department until his retirement in 1979. Vincent proudly served our country in the US Marines during WWII, Pacific Theatre where he received two Purple Hearts. He was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1942. Memberships: Vincent was of the Catholic faith. He was a former member of the American Legion, VFW, UNICO, Kiwanis Club and life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Vincent is survived by daughters Patricia P. Sabol and husband William of Whitehall, PA, Christine M. Blanco and husband Reynaldo of Easton; grandchildren David Sabol of Bethlehem, Jeremy Sabol and wife Lea of Whitehall, Elena Schumacher and husband Gabriel of Wilmington, DE, Mark Blanco and girlfriend Valerie DiGregorio of Easton and great grandchildren Nathan Sabol and Sara Schumacher. A sister Teresa Garrett and a brother Louis Polidoro preceded Vincent in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday morning from 10:00am until 11:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
