Vincent J. Presto, Sr., 95, of Easton passed peacefully at his home with his loving family on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Born on June 21, 1931 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Pietro and Francesca (Lipari) Presto and had 5 brothers and 1 sister. He graduated from Easton High School and attended Churchman’s Business School. He married the love of his life, the late Bernadine M. (Galley) Presto and celebrated 58 years of marriage before her passing.
His life story was exceptional and exemplified the American dream. At the age of 20 he was hired by Mr. John Stokes of Stokes Electrical Supply Company after graduating from Churchman’s Business School located in Easton. He would eventually become their very first outside salesman. He would go on to purchase this company 16 years later. He managed and ran the company for almost 60 years.
Vincent always tried to help others when he could. God gave him a wonderful life and family, and he would share that with other members of the community that did not have what he had in his life. Giving to God and others is how Vincent lived his life.
As a young married couple, Vincent and his wife Bernadine worked tirelessly to raise a family and build Stokes from a small company to what it is today, still finding time to help people out generously and together with Bernie always by his side. They were extremely successful, and now they’re together again in Heaven.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Rosary Society where he was responsible for setting up the weekly schedule, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Sierra Club, Sales and Management, Harker’s Hollow, and the Pomfret Club. One of most cherished items for Dad was to ensure the altar at St. Anthony’s Church always had fresh flowers; especially the Blessed Mother. He also helped organize the golf outings for the Angelic Sisters and was on the financial committee of the Franciscan Friary. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling at the former Fleas club, playing golf and being with Mom and the grand children.
Vincent is survived by his sons, Vincent J. Presto Jr. and wife Rita; James R. Presto and wife Laurette; Patrick S. Presto and wife Patti; a daughter Margaret Azar and husband Imad; grandchildren Chad and his fiancé, Sabrina; Vincent and his wife, Maggie; James Jr. and his wife, Samantha; Elizabeth and her husband, Matt; Jordan and her husband Conley; Jessica and her husband Adam, and Juliana; great grandchildren, Mara, Carson, Grace, Matthew, Charlie, and Avery.
