Name: Vincent B. Vicari, 92, of Bethlehem Twp., PA passed away on December 5, 2011 at his home. Born: Vincent was born in New York, NY on October 25, 1919. He was the son of the late Ambrose and Vincenza (Lapi) Vicari. Personal: Vincent served his country in the European Theatre of WWII in the 101st Airborne Division (The Screaming Eagles) of the United States Army as a Captain and aide to General Anthony C. McAuliffe. He took part in the Battle of the Bulge and the Siege of Bastogne. He received four battle stars for action in Normandy, Rhineland, the Ardennes and Central Europe. Later, he was the Senior Organizer for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, from which he retired in 1982. Memberships: Vincent was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kiwaniss Club, St. Anthonys of Padua Church, and an usher at St. Anthonys. He served on the Bethlehem Township Sewer Authority. He was a past President of the 101st Airborne Division Association and continued to serve on the Board of Governors until his death. He was also a past President of the Anthony C. McAuliffe Chapter of the 101st Airborne Division Association. Survivors: Vincent is survived by daughters, Arlene Vicari of Bethlehem Twp. and Janice Caraballo and husband Michael of Easton; grandchildren Danielle Smith, Robert Vicari, Ashley Jiorle, and Devon Caraballo; great grandchildren Blake Smith, Kai Vicari, Kherington Smith, Logan Vicari and Chloe Post. He is predeceased by his wife, Emily (Navarra) Vicari and sisters Vincenza Gobbo and Rose Corso and brothers Lorenzo, Salvatore and Frank Vicari. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm through 9:00 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Palmer Twp. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Anthonys of Padua Church, 900 Washington St., Easton.
