Virginia Rowson, 93, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in Country Meadows Retirement Community.

Virginia was born on April 5, 1924 in Virden, Manitoba, Canada, a daughter of the late George and Florence (Markem) Rowson.

Virginia moved to the United States and became a citizen on January 10, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York. She was employed by the Hartford Insurance Company in Manhattan, New York for 36 years; prior she was an employee of the Canadian Postal Service. She retired in 1986 and moved to Washington, NJ, and later moved to Palmer Twp., PA. She loved to shop with friends, and country decorating.

Virginia was a member of Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, and Ladies Bible Study, where she helped with the coffee hour.

Virginia is survived by three nieces and two nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters Alice Johnson, Audrey Waddell, Frances, and Florence; and a brother George.

A Funeral Services will held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 am in Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, 715 Chestnut Lane, Easton, PA 18045. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
