Vita Di Gangi, 94, of Palmer Twp. passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 in Country Meadows. Born on January 23, 1930 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Derollo) Manno.
After her high school graduation from Bloomfield, Vita studied at Fashion Institute of Technology. She worked as a buyer for clothing stores before earning her Bachelor's Degree in teaching from New Jersey State Teachers College. She taught at Wyckoff school district and retired from Patterson School District.
Vita belonged to the Westernaires Chorus, bocci club and the Italian American Club. During her leisure time, she enjoyed a good novel by Danielle Steel, knitting or crocheting. She kept active with bowling. She was a world traveler who enjoyed seeing the sights nationally and internationally.
Vita is survived by her sons, Joseph Di Gangi, Jr. and wife, Linda of Forks Twp.; Steven Di Gangi and wife, Wendi of Livingston, NJ; daughter, Donna Molan and husband, William of Nazareth; grandchildren, Danielle Molan, Jessica Molan, Joey Di Gangi III (Emily), Michael Di Gangi, Christopher Di Gangi, Drew Di Gangi, Cameron Di Gangi, and Ethan Di Gangi.
In addition to her parents, Vita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Joseph A. Di Gangi, Sr.; sisters, Natalie Martinelli and Emily Frate.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Ninth and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 52 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com
