Walter (Wally) J. Petty, 78 , of Bethlehem PA, passed away Saturday, January 8 ^th , 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. Wally was born in Rockaway Beach, New York, son of the late Elmer and Joan Marie (Stanton) Petty.

He was a Senior Designer for Bitstream Inc. printing company of Massachusetts for many years, retiring in the early 2000's. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the former Sands Casino, now Wind Creek Casino, in Bethlehem.  He loved to play and watch golf and was an airplane enthusiast and small plane pilot.   He would often be seen enjoying a cigar and taking walks at Trexler Park.  Wally graduated from George W. Hewlett High School in Hewlett, NY and was an accomplished track athlete.  He served and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in the mid-1960's.

Wally is survived by his sister Joan R. Gallo of Easton, PA, niece Alana Klass and her husband Ralph of Easton, nephew David Gallo and his wife Tammy of Coplay PA, great nieces Jillian and Erin Albus both of Easton, PA. Private graveside services will be held in Churchill Cemetery, Lower Mount Bethel PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans at WWW.secure.dav.org.
