William C. Hunara, 71, of Williams Twp. passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at St. Luke's Anderson campus. Born on August 15, 1953 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late George Jr and Ruth (Wink) Hunara and foster parents Paul and Nonna DeNardo. He graduated from Pen Argyl High School and worked as the superintendent for Bi-State Construction since he was 18 years old.
He was a member of Citizen's Hose and Raubsville Gun Club. William enjoyed being outdoors whether it was hunting or fishing. His most treasured time was spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with family.
William is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra (Heckman) Hunara; son, William M. Hunara and his wife, Jamie of Williams Twp.; daughters, Tammy Muffley and her husband, Paul of Williams Twp.; Michele Girou and her husband, Nick of WI; sisters, Rosalind Gambino and her husband, Charles of Palmer Twp.; Carol Cappellano and her husband, Tony of Palmer Twp.; Tracy Hunara of TX; brothers, John Hunara and his wife, Patti of Palmer Twp.; Jimmy Hunara and his wife, Jeanette of Phillipsburg, NJ; Tony Hunara of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Brianne, Britani, Dustin, Bryce, Nicholas, Nevaeh, Chelsea, Alyssa, Nathan; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Larissa, and Rilee.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Owen, Jessica Williams; brothers, George and Raymond Hunara.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm in the funeral home.
