William B. Murray, 95, of Easton, PA, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 in St. Luke's Hospital.
William was born in Phillipsburg, NJ the son of the late William A and Agnes J (Laughlin) Murray.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Irene B. (Bacho) Murray in 2005. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Briareus in the South Pacific. He was a member of Saints Philip & James Catholic Church in Pennington, NJ, where served as an usher for many years. He was a graduate of Saints Philip & James Catholic School, class of 1940. He was employed in the Motor Courier Industry for 49 years. He was responsible for the direction of Operation and Sales management. He was a graduate of the Academy of Advance Traffic in Philadelphia, and a member of the Raritan Traffic Club, Traffic Club of Trenton and served on the board of directors for the Steel Carriers in Washington DC., member of the VFW, American Legion Post 339 in Hopewell, NJ. He was honored recently with NJ distinguished Senior Mates, the highest US Military Award.
William is survived by a daughter Mary Kay Murray and husband William Hill; grandchildren Carly Ritter and husband Eric, Tracey Franklin and husband William; great-grandchildren Paige and Sloane Ritter, Brittany and Taylor Franklin. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers James and Francis Murray.
