Name: William Denes Saloky, 84 of Palmer Twp. passed away Friday February 12, 2010 in Brakeley Park Center, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born: He was born on July 9, 1925 in Phillipsburg, NJ a son of the late Paul and Rose Sabo Saloky Memberships: Willie was a member of AARP, Republican Club of Wilson Boro and Safety First Fire Co. Personal: Willie was the proprietor of Manor Inn in Pohatcong Twp., NJ, the Lancer Hotel and Cue Lounge in Wilson Boro and Hof-Brau Hotel in the Delaware Water Gap. He later was employed as a Northampton County Sheriff and a tipstaff for Judge Hogan. Willie was an avid golfer, pool player and pilot. He was the pilot who flew the banners over the Phillipsburg Easton Thanksgiving Day game for many years. He bred and raised weimaraners for hunting and sport. William served our country proudly as a pilot in the US Air Force during WWII. He is a graduate of Phillipsburg High School class of 1944. Willie was a proud family man; husband, father, grandfather, and Pop-Pop. Survivors: Willie is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Anna Marie Baumann, a daughter Ginger Buchser and husband Michael of Palmer Twp son Dr. Paul Anton Saloky and wife Sharon of Bloomsburg, PA; grandchildren, Willie Buchser PhD. and wife Dr. Nancy Buchser, Cody Anne Buchser and Michael Yarnes, Kristan Lee Saloky, Paul Anton, Jr and Kaitlin Lorraine Saloky. A son William Denes Saloky Jr. and brothers Paul and Frank Saloky preceded William in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday from 10:30am until 11:30am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A time of remembrance will be held on Wednesday at 11:30am in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
