Edward F. McCaffrey, 92, of Palmer Twp. passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus. Born on June 14, 1932 in New York City, he was the son of the late Edward and Catherine (White) McCaffrey. He graduated from Fair Haven High School in VT.
He was employed as a field inspector for Western Electric for 40 years. During his employment, he traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe and the Orient. He was a true mentor who coached little league baseball and football teams. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed being outdoors, either golfing, or fishing. When the weather didn't allow for him to be outdoors, he enjoyed a good game of bowling or cheering for his favorite team, Eagles.
Edward was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, the Democratic City Committee (MA), American Society for Quality Control, and the American Legion. He was a dedicated volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul, Hillsborough and Easton food pantries.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Mary "Molly" (Reineman) McCaffrey; children, Sean, Edward, Maureen, and Colleen McCaffrey; sister, Irene Lane; grandchildren, Nicole, Rachel, Kelly, Liam; great-grandchildren, Nina, Sierra, Edward, Molly, James, great great grandchildren, Zavian, Zaylee.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Fish.
Services are private at the convenience of family. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edward's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
