Margaret E. Stone, 71 of Phillipsburg, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Lukes Hospital-Warren Campus with her loving family by her side. Born in Easton on January 25, 1953 she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret (Taylor) Vivian. Margie worked as a meter maid for the city of Phillipsburg, she also worked at Kmart as a cashier. She and her husband also owned their own spa company for a few years.

Margie attended River of Life Church in Phillipsburg. She was also a member of West Easton firehouse, Jersey hose firehouse, the YMIA club and the Concordia Maennerchor club in Easton. Her family was the light of her life. She cherished the time she got to spend with them.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Howard E. Stone, Sr.; sons, Allen Shafer and his wife, Jenna; Jason Shafer; Kevin Stone and his wife, Robin; grandchildren, Zachary and David Allen Shafer, and Leah Hopkins; sister, Deborah Briglia and her husband, Timothy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Hopkins; son, John Hopkins; and brothers, Dale and Richard Vivian.
