Marie Theresa Dailey, 91, of Forks Twp., Easton, completed her journey here on earth and into the arms of Jesus on August 1, 2024.  She passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA with her daughter and son by her side.

She was born in Easton, PA to Karl and Theresa (Kopfer) Hettel on December 6, 1932.  Her husband, Bob, preceded her in death in 2013.  They were married on July 28, 1956.

Marie was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her son, Bobby Dailey (wife Jane) of Palmer Twp. and daughter, Donna Holden of Forks Twp, with whom she resided. Her son, Mark, died in 2012.  Her grandchildren, whom she adored, are Christopher Dailey (wife Mary) of Media, PA, Eric Holden of Forks Twp., Jeffrey Dailey (deceased in 2007), Nick Dailey (wife Laticia) of Bethlehem, PA, TJ Dailey of Palmer Twp., Kristina Piccione (husband Brian) and Ryan Dailey (wife Jordan) of Bethlehem, PA.

Her great grandchildren, whom she also adored, are Christopher and Fiona Dailey, Harper and Maddox Dailey, Gianni, Nico, Alina and Maia Mae Piccione.  She was looking forward to meeting Chandler Dailey, who will be arriving in October.

Marie was extremely close with her sister Margaret and her brother, Karl Hettel and his wife Gail.  A sister, Elsie Reuss, died in 2015.

A heartfelt thank you to sister, Margaret and daughter-in-law, Jane, for helping to care for Marie while under hospice home care.

A truly heartfelt thank you to hospice home nurses, home health aide and Hospice House nurses.

Marie was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church.  Marie will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Bishop Alfred Schlert at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
