John A. Morello received his Funeral Directors license in 1991 after completing the funeral service program at Northampton County Community College, Bethlehem. He previously earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Secondary Education- physical sciences and earth and space sciences from Kutztown University in 1988. John is the owner and supervisor of the funeral home which his family has owned and operated since 1955. John's involvement with the funeral home stems back to 1979 when he assisted his father and mother, Sonny and Marion (VanAllen) Morello in many aspects of the business. He is a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp. John served in numerous offices for civic organizations throughout the Easton area. John, his wife Michele and their 3 children reside in Palmer Twp.
Hope S. Newell is a dedicated, compassionate and energetic Funeral Director with a background in nursing and has an active hobby as a photographer. As a life-long service oriented member of our community, Hope is involved in many civic and charitable organization. She is a talented professional who helps individuals and families work through the emotional transitions of life in a unique and customized experience. Hope's broad background enables her to readily connect with people and she is proud of her long lasting relationships with her clients. Hope was born in Saylorsburg and raised in Nazareth; she is an alumnus of Nazareth Area High School. She pursued a career in nursing and then chose to obtain her Associate's degree in Small Business Management. She later completed the Funeral Service program from Northampton Community College. Hope started her career in Funeral Service as a funeral associate in 2008 at a Stroudsburg funeral home. During her time there, she took on increasing levels of responsibility and was promoted to Director, Supervisor and Location Manager. Always seeking out better ways she can serve the community, Hope obtained her Notary and Insurance licenses to provide Advance Planning services. Hope is ecstatic to bring her experience and services to the Morello Funeral Home Inc. and work with such a fine group of professionals that care deeply about their clients. In her spare time, Hope enjoys spending time with her son, daughter and family. Her favorite getaway is the beach and she enjoys roller blading and swimming.
Kealey Smartnick is an attentive, compassionate licensed funeral director who strives to assist each family with her caring character. She is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science where she obtained her Funeral Directing Diploma in 2016 and her Associates Degree in Specialized Business and Funeral Service Management in 2017. Kealey was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh in Derry where she graduated from Derry Area High School in 2014. Along with her career in funeral service Kealey also obtained her Certified Celebrant training in 2017 through the In-Sight Institute. As a Celebrant Kealey is able to uniquely assist families who want a customized and personalized service for their loved one. Outside of work she enjoys exploring the outdoors and all eastern PA has to offer. Kealey resides in Palmer Twp., with her two dogs Wrigley and Zoey and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
